What is Xicanisma?
Coined by Ana Castillo (2014), Xicanisma is Chicana feminism that examines the intersectionality of rights of women in Chicano politics, Latinx queer and trans women, the socioeconomic status of the Xicana, and the status of mestizas, including those of indigenous origin, in the United States.
